Bye Policy

A half-point bye will be given for any round prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament begins half-point byes can be requested for rounds 1-3 but only zero-point byes for rounds 4 + 5

FAIR PLAY POLICY:

Fair Play: (taken from the chess.com website)

  • No chess programs or engines (e.g. Chessmaster, Fritz, Komodo, Houdini, Stockfish, Chessbase with any active UCI engine, etc.) can be used to analyze positions in ongoing games at any time.  
  • No outside assistance OF ANY KIND is permitted.
  • Fixing game results by arranging games, playing with multiple accounts, or losing intentionally is also against the rules.

**SANITATION POLICY**

All players are required to wash their hands or use sanitizer before each round. Masks are optional.

**REFUND POLICY**
A FULL refund will be given to any request at least ONE WEEK PRIOR to any Summit School of Chess program, tournament, camp, event, etc.

If less than one week's notice is given - it is at Summit School of Chess's discretion whether to issue a refund, credit, or another form of compensation.
