NOTE:

1. After you register, check the Entry List on this website to confirm that your name is there. No one will be allowed to play if they are not on the Entry List.
2. Chess sets will be provided, but please bring your own chess clock.
3. The tournament is USCF-rated, so make sure your US Chess membership is active.

Sections:

• K-12 (Open)
• K-8 (Under 1200)
• K-5 (Under 800)
• K-3 (Under 400)

Note: The rating in parentheses indicates the maximum rating allowed for that section. For example, if you are in 2nd grade but have a rating above 400, you will not be eligible to play in the K-3 Section. Eligibility will be based on the December Supplement Rating. If you do not have a rating yet, you can register for any section that matches your grade.

Format:

5SS, G/30;d5.

(5 total games - Clocks at 30 minutes plus 5 seconds before you start losing time).

Round Times: 

• Round 1: 9 am
• Round 2: 10:15am
• Round 3: 11:30am 
• LUNCH
• Round 4: 1:30pm
• Round 5: 2:45pm
• Awards Ceremony: 6pm. (Followed by ICEA Annual Concert)

Entry Fee:

• Early Bird: $50 (by Oct. 31)
• Regular: $60 (by Nov. 30)
• Late Entry: $75 (by Dec 13@7pm)

Event Cancellation Policy

• $5 Cancellation Fee until Dec 1st. Then, until 7pm 12/13, $10. No refunds at all if you cancel after 7pm on Friday, Dec. 13th. Only email will serve as a valid cancellation.

Awards

• Trophies/Medals to the Top 25% of players (Max 10 if exceeding 40 players for one section)
• The Champion of each section will gain a Free Entry of SuperStates 2025
• Trophy for Team Champion of each section (minimum of 2 members required, with a maximum of the top 4 counted) 
• All winners will be recognized on the ICEAChess.org website
