Terms and Conditions

Oklahoma City Chess Club Terms & Conditions

Refunds
A player can receive a refund if they cancel up to one hour before round 1 begins. Players who no-show do not receive a refund.

Running late?
Players who register after the posted cutoff time will be given a first-round bye in Swiss tournaments.
For quads, players who arrive after the registration cutoff/check-in time may not be able to participate in the event.  For tournaments that require players to check in, those who are not checked in by the cutoff time will not be paired in round one.

But there’s a caveat! If you are running late, just send a text to (405) 642-6136 before the cutoff time and we'll put you in.

No shows = not cool.
For tournaments that don't require players to check in, it's still very important that we know who's coming and who isn't. Nobody likes having to sit there doing nothing for an hour because their opponent couldn't be bothered to let us know they couldn't make it. If something comes up, just send us a text so we'll know not to pair you.

About the venue
The chess club is located above Kamp's 1910 Café. Except on Sundays, when the café is closed, do not bring any outside food or drink into the building. Try something from their delicious menu instead.

Children must be supervised at all times. Parents who play in a tournament with their children must arrange for someone to be there to supervise when the children's games end. No unattended children are permitted in the café.
