After you register, check the Entry List on this website to confirm that your name is there. No one will be allowed to play if they are not on the Entry List.

NOTE: 

1. The tournament is USCF-rated, but not FIDE-rated.
2. The March 2005 Supplement Rating will be used for pairing and section eligibility.
3. Chess set will be provided. Please bring your chess clock.

Sections:

• K-1 (Under 300)
• K-3 (Under 700)
• K-5 (Under 1000)
• K-8 (Under 1400)
• K-12 (Under 1600)

NOTE:

1. The rating in parentheses indicates the maximum rating allowed for that section. For example, if you are in 2nd grade but have a rating above 700, you will not be eligible to play in the K-3 Section. Eligibility will be based on the March 2025 Supplement Rating. If you do not have a rating yet, you can register for any section that matches your grade. 

Format: 5 Double Rounds (5 x 2SS), G/25,d/5

Schedule: 

• Day 1(Saturday):

  • 9:30 am: Opening Ceremony

  • 10am: Round 1

  • 2pm: Round 2

  • 5pm: Round 3

• Day 2(Sunday):

  • 9am: Round 4

  • 1pm: Round 5

  • 4:30 pm: Awards Ceremony

NOTE: One 1/2 point bye is allowed, and never in the final round.

Entry Fee:

• Early Bird: $100 (by Jan. 21st)
• Regular: $120 (by Feb. 28th)
• Late Entry: $150 (by March 21st)

Event Cancellation Policy

• $5 Cancellation Fee until March 9th. Then, until 3/21, $10. No refunds at all if you cancel after March 21st. Only email will serve as a valid cancellation.

Awards & Honors

• Individual Awards:

  • Top 10 Trophies for each Section (Standard Tie breaks will be applied)

  • Top Under/Unrated Trophies

• Team Awards: (Based on the total score of each team’s top 4 players. To be eligible, teams must register and be verified using this form.)

  • School Team Award

    • 1st Place Trophy (Gold Medal for all team members)
    • 2nd Place Trophy (Silver Medal for all team members)
    • 3rd Place Trophy (Bronze Medal for all team members)

  • Club Team Award

    • 1st Place Trophy (Gold Medal for all team members)
    • 2nd Place Trophy (Silver Medal for all team members)
    • 3rd Place Trophy (Bronze Medal for all team members)
