GM Fishbein will cover practical advice for calculating variations (how far to calculate, when to stop, what to 
        do if you're stuck, etc). Receive a glimpse into how a grandmaster thinks about chess.

Parking:        
Parking spaces behind Academy, including public street parking behind Academy on Lake Rd.;  Additional free parking in municipal lot one block North on Whitney Ave at Ralston Ave.

Format:         
All participants, whether attending the lecture, the simul or both must register for the event online by Fri, September 9, 7:00PM.  Persons requesting admittance thereafter will be accepted at the discretion of the organizer.  Please email info@PlayMoreChess.com if you miss the registration deadline and online registration is not available.
            
The lecture will take place from 1:00-2:00PM.
The Simultaneous Exhibition will start at 2:00PM. 
The entry fee for Simul plus lecture is $30 per player by entry deadline.  This includes both lecture and simul.  The maximum number of Simul participants is 20. If space available, late entry fee is $35.
The entry fee for the lecture only is $15. 
Discounted entry fees available for Hamden Chess Club Members. 

Registrants receive one year CT State Chess Association (CSCA) membership, or for current members an extension one year from the event is included. All are welcome, all must register. 

Please sign up ASAP to guarantee a space as our space is limited.  

Note regarding registration form fields: If signing up to play in Simul, please include USCF # in the USCF field,  if you have one.  If you don't have a USCF # you can still sign up to play in the Simul. 
Those signing up for Lecture Only can skip the USCF # field in the registration form but still should enter their name in the name field i.e. "player name."  Any fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required fields.  Under "Select an entry type" you can ignore the heading "Full Tournament."  (This form is designed and more typically used for tournaments than lecture/simuls).
