II TNT Weekly Chess | Game starts @ 7:00 PM

​One US Chess-rated game every Tuesday night, This is a great way for players to get weekly rated practice. 

DATES:

Monthly Schedule - August 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th

FORMAT:

G/60; d5, 4 Rounds, Swiss, USCF Rated

Highland Valley Church (Youth Center, Park in Rear Parking Lot)

SECTIONS & PRIZES: 

  • 2 Sections; Open, Scholastic

  • No Prizes, Rating Only

  • 50% of the proceeds will go to winners choice of charity

ENTRY:​

  • FREE ENTRY for Masters (USCF 2200+)

  • FREE ENTRY for WLR Members

  • One time Entry Fee $20.00 will cover all four games for the month of August 

  • Players must register weekly and in advance using the online registration system. Registration online ONLY.

  • Registration will close promptly @6:00 PM every Tuesday if not already full. 

  • Once spots are filled, players may email: WLRchessclub@gmail.com to be placed on the waitlist.

  • Each Tuesday evening will be limited to the first 30 players to register.

  • No refunds after 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6th 2024.

  • All ages and skill levels welcomed!

  • Game starts at 7:00 PM

Tiebreaks:

  • Standard USCF Tiebreakers will be used in all sections to determine the winner. If there is a tie for 1st place. There will be one G/5 Blitz to determine winners. See rule 34C in the USCF’s Official Rules of Chess for tiebreak details.

Bye:

  • One half point bye will be allowed. Please contact WLRchessclub@gmail.com with your bye request and the round requesting.

  • USCF membership required; Renew here

  • Players must be familiar with the USCF’s Official Rules of Chess

  • TD will accelerate pairings to pair players close in rating when possible

  • Most recent "Live" US Chess regular ratings used for all sections to ensure close matchups.

  • This is a monthly tournament - the rating report is submitted on the last Tuesday of the month, and a new event may begin on the first Tuesday of each month. This event may be 4 to 5 rounds depending on the month.

  • Playing up, players can play up to the next section if their USCF Rating is within 150 points of the next section. If sections are available.

  • All unrated players will be placed in the lower section. If sections are available.
