This is the fourth in a series of affordable local scholastic chess tournaments by Emerald Hills Chess and the Tri-Valley Chess League.

The Premier (U600 and unrated) and Championship (600+ rating) lets experienced tournament players improve their skills, boost their rating, and win trophies.

(Unrated and novices under 300 rating may compete in the concurrent Challenger section - register here. New for 2024 - there will be a casual tournament open to parents and other adults! Sign up on site.)

Date: Sat Jan. 20, 2024 

Location: Wells Middle School, 6800 Penn Dr, Dublin, CA 94568 (see map)

Who: Experienced K-12 tournament players in Premier (U600 and unrated) and Championship (600+ rating) - Check current USCF rating here)

Time: 9 AM to 1:15 PM (note change to AM from prior tournaments; check-in 8:15-8:45 AM) 

Format: 4 rounds using time control of Game in 25 minutes with 5 second delay. 

Entry Fee: $25 by Sun Jan. 14th; $30 afterward ($20 US Chess Federation junior membership also required - check here. For new tournament players from Wells and Valley View Elementary - we have a limited number of free USCF memberships. Register early to get yours!)
