SECTIONS & PRIZES
SECTION I: K-3rd U600 Five rounds, G/45. K-3rd graders rated under 600. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals and for 1st and 2nd-place teams. Medals for players with scores of 3.0 or higher.
SECTION II: 4-6th U600 Five rounds, G/45. 4th-6th graders rated under 600. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals and for 1st and 2nd-place teams. Medals for players with scores of 3.0 or higher.
SECTION III: K-12th U900 Five rounds, G/45. All grades rated under 900. K-6th grade players rated U600 may play in either section 1 or 2 according to their grade. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals and for 1st and 2nd-place teams. Medals for players with scores of 3.0 or higher.
SECTION IV: K-12th U1200 Four rounds, G/45; d5. All grades rated under 1200. Clocks required. Notation is strongly encouraged. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individuals and for 1st and 2nd-place teams. Medals for players with scores of 2.5 or higher.
SECTION V: Premier Four rounds, G/45; d5. All grades rated 1200+. Clocks and notation required. Individual trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Top U1500. Team trophies for 1st and 2nd-place. Medals for players with scores of 2.5 or higher.
SPECTATOR POLICY
Spectators are not permitted in the playing hall while games are being played. Players must exit the playing hall after finishing their games and reporting their scores.
When the first round is paired, parents are encouraged to accompany their players as they find their boards and listen to morning announcements. You may remain for the first five minutes of the first round only to observe your player and take a photo. After the first five minutes, we will ask you to return to the waiting area.
For rounds 2-5 parents who wish to escort their players into the playing hall may do so, but must then return to the waiting area. Since we need to keep the playing hall quiet, please, NO talking while finding your child's board.

Registration ends March 7th. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline.
Entry is $25/player. Parents registering three or more siblings at the same time: $20/player.
Current U.S. Chess membership is required.
