This tournament will feature Monrad pairings, which is a variation on Swiss pairings that reduces mismatches. The use of Monrad pairings eliminates the need for multiple sections as players are often paired against closely related opponents, especially in early rounds. Up to two half-point byes allowed. Byes are allowed for all rounds. The deadline to request byes is before the start of round three.
USCF regular and quick rated. Time control: Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second delay.
Sunday, December 10, rounds at 11 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7 pm
Registration closes at 10:30 am on December 10th
Entry fee: $45 on or before 11/26, $50 on or before 12/4, $55 on or before 12/9, $60 on the day of the event
PRIZES: $500 for 1st, $250 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd, $100 top U1900, $100 top U1600, $100 top U1200, $50 top U900
