VENUE HAS CHANGED!

Due to a last-minute emergency, the church was unable to host us. But our friends at Kamp's came to our rescue. The tournament will be in the upstairs meeting area. Stairs/elevator to your right just inside the entrance. The café will close at 2 p.m. to prepare for an evening event. After this time, the manager has asked us to stay out of the dining room to allow his staff to set up.

​Format: Four rounds (Swiss), Game in 45 minutes with a 5-second delay

Sections: Premier, U1600, U1000. Must be within 100 points to play up to Premier (+$10)
Prizes: Premier 1st $200 guaranteed.
Other prizes (estimates based on 40 full-price entries): Premier 2nd $100, 3rd $50; U1600 1st $100, 2nd $65, 3rd $35
U1000 prizes: trophies to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. For first-place ties with no head-to-head result, winner is determined by a blitz tiebreak round. Mathematical tiebreaks used to determine all others.

Free entry to titled players (with EF deducted from prize money). Just send us an email at rr@citychessok.com. All others:

$25 EF by August 24. Register. Discount for Seniors (65+), full-time college students with ID, and siblings under 18 (when two or more siblings are being registered). Discounted entries must be received by the Thursday before the event. Late/onsite entries: $30 (no discounts). No checks. Onsite registration 9 to 9:30 (unless we have reached capacity and closed registration). Anyone registering after 9:30 will receive a half-point bye in the first round. 

 

Be sure your US Chess membership is current (check it here), and bring your own board and clock.
Notation is required in all sections. Please let us know if you have a disability that prevents you from notating your games.
