Welcome to our first annual Club Championship! The winner will have their name engraved on our "perpetual trophy."  We will also have engraved plaques for those who finsish best in their rating group. It is a 7 round event in one section with games on Tuesdays. FACE MASKS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED but not required.  Don't forget!  You must keep your membership in USCF active to play. Renew online at: https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess.   Each Round starts at 6:45 pm and the Club opens at 6:00.  Time control is Game/85 min. with 5 second delay. Two 1/2 point byes are available. Last round byes must be requested before the start of Round 5. The entry fee is $40 and should be paid online.  Advance registration is strongly advised as there is a 68 player limit. Only list School/grade for K-12. If you have trouble registering online contact us and we can register you and you can pay the registration fee before Round 1 starts. Players that don't register before the day of the tournament might not get a game in Rd. 1..  Cell phones are allowed but must be placed on vibrate. All players must be SGVCC members.   New memebers can pay Club dues ($30 per year) in person.  All prior memberships from our Sierra Madre location are still in good standing and will be honored.  We meet at Altadena Community Church in Heicher Hall, located at 943 East Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA 91101 For more information contact John Wright at 626/864-5744 or at wright.john82@yahoo.com
